Steve Jackson`s design style and influences have been developing his entire life. A third generation builder he grew up in Cheshire, England engulfed in building practice and design.

"I knew the difference between a joist and a rafter at 6 years old and I could read plans aged 10"

Childhood family gatherings were all about building homes and spare time was spent on his Dad`s building sites.

No surprise then that he went directly into the building industry from school, working for his father and then his older brother for 14 years.

Venturing out in business alone in 1996 Steve`s other passion of Europe infused with his profession.

Effortlessly his European travels and experiences influenced his style as design became more important personally.

Steve has successfully designed and built in England, Denmark, Sweden, New Zealand and California, for homeowners & businesses including retail, hotels, restaurants, cafés, pubs, nightclubs, medical surgeries, offices, schools, nursing homes and churches.

Steve launched Arvika Design primarily to feed his family, but it goes much deeper than that.

With over 30 years of practical building and design experience he loves to utilize his creativity and flair.
